Locust Grove Lodge is a cozy house that sits on 1.5 acres surrounded by trees. You’ll find it down a quiet, curvy road in rural Vinton County. Locust Grove Lodge is a peaceful retreat for Nature lovers, artists, musicians and those that want to seek a place to enjoy Nature comfortably.
Furnished to make you comfortable and cozy with quality pillow top mattresses and fresh linens. This two bedroom sleeps up to four with a queen bed in one room and two twin beds in the second. There is also a pull out sofa in the living room. The sun shines through the sky lights into the living room and the kitchen adding charm and warmth. A record player, tv, games and books will keep you busy when you are not out exploring the adjacent Elk Fork creek, Old Mans Cave or other spots in Hocking Hills or Vinton County. Of course, if you’d rather stay in and stay cool each bedroom has a window A/C unit and WIFI is available.
Outside a gas grill, charcoal grill and an outdoor fire pit give you plenty of outdoor cooking options. Inside the fully equipped kitchen will help you complete the perfect meal. The HOT TUB is a 4 person Jacuzzi J300 brand spa and is nestled between the trees in a tranquil setting off the back patio.
Located in McArthur, Ohio just minutes from Old Man’s Cave and many other treasures of the beautiful Hocking Hills and Vinton Counties. Athens, Nelsonville and Jackson are near.Located less than 30 minutes from Lake Rupert, Lake Alma, Lake Hope, Lake Snowden, Old Mans Cave, Vinton Furnace and Zaleski State Forest. Horseback riding, zip lines, canoes and kayaks are all near by.
The quaint lodge was originally built in 1990 by Dr. Louis Dewein, the founder of Niches Retreat Center for his mother Iola. This charming 2 bedroom house has everything you need to enjoy an extremely comfortable, escape into nature.
Locust Grove Lodge is adjacent to a 43 acre Private Retreat 300 + acre property protected by the Appalachia Ohio Alliance and called the Earthtouch Preserve.
